Vancouver’s First Cognac Green Tea Cocktail Captures National Attention
VANCOUVER, B.C. — Vancouver-based alcoholic beverage brand Triple X.O.G. — the world’s first cognac green tea cocktail — entered the Den and left with multiple offers during the landmark on season 20th, Episode 2 (0:00–10:40) of CBC’s Dragons’ Den. The company ultimately sealed a deal with Manjit Minhas, the celebrated “Queen Dragon” of Canadian brewing and CEO & Co-Founder of Minhas Breweries.
The pitch, which aired on Dragons’ Den (Season 20, Episode 2), spotlighted Asian cultural heritage, bringing national attention to a cocktail beloved across Asian nightlife communities: green tea mixed with cognac. Triple X.O.G. is the first company to successfully commercialize the drink — long enjoyed in karaoke bars and clubs — on a national scale.
“Green tea and cognac have been a staple in Asian nightlife culture for decades, but it’s never been bottled or shared beyond our communities. We’re proud to bring it from our roots to shelves across Canada,” said Felix Chen, Co-Founder & CEO of Triple X.O.G.
“The drink today is so popular and iconic in our community that it’s been dubbed the Asian gin and tonic. There was a big problem, though: we couldn’t find this drink anywhere. No one had brought this cultural staple into the ready-to-drink market,” shared Rudy Pham, Co-Founder & COO of Triple X.O.G.

Following intense questioning and feedback from the Dragons, Triple X.O.G. received two final offers:
- Wes Hall: $100,000 for 15.7% equity
- Manjit Minhas: $100,000 for 20% equity
While the founders attempted to broker a joint deal, Minhas stood firm. Ultimately, Triple X.O.G. accepted her solo offer — celebrated with glowing lights, cheers, and, of course, drinks in hand.
“Triple X.O.G. was love at first sip. I didn’t put my cup down. The more they shared about their story, success to date, and plans for the future, I knew I wanted to work with them to help Triple X.O.G. grow,” said Manjit Minhas, Dragon and CEO of Minhas Breweries.
She continued:
“Triple X.O.G. immediately caught my attention as a unique product in the Canadian marketplace. Spirit-based RTDs have exploded in popularity, but very few are cognac-based. And while hard iced teas are successful, it’s amazing how uninspired the variety is in North America. Triple X.O.G. offers an innovative take on classic flavours that will stand out on the shelf.”
As Chen emphasized:
“While others may try to replicate it, nobody is building the brand or experience the way we are.”
